April is Earth Month
April is Earth Month in Chilliwack! Do your part by participating in the following programs for 2024:
- Recycle your scrap metal for free at the Bailey Landfill for the month of April. The landfill can be very busy at times (particularly on weekends), but traffic cameras are available on the Bailey Landfill webpage to help residents plan their visits.
- Residential Large Item Pick Ups are back! Non-profit volunteers groups will pick up bulky items from residents by donation. Contact a group to register between April 1 to 14. Pick ups will be scheduled from April 15 to 30.
- Chilliwack Rotary Climate Fair is April 13-14. Visit the City's booth at the Rotary Climate Fair on Saturday, April 13 from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, April 14 from 11 am to 4 pm.
- Participate in the Adopt a River Clean Up on Saturday, April 20 from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm.
Registration is open at Thompson Park (48562 Chilliwack Lake Road) from 8:30 – 9:30 am. Clean up continues until 1:30pm. - BioCentral at Parr Road Green Depot is offering 40% off discount on all bagged products (compost, topsoil, and mulch) , and 10% off on bulk products (compost, topsoil, and mulch) on Earth Day, Monday, April 22.
- Join the City-Wide Garage Sale on Saturday, May 11.
- Sign up for the Adopt-a-Road Program.
