Development Cost Charges
City Council has adopted a Development Cost Charge (DCC) Bylaw which authorizes fees to be collected prior to Subdivision approval or the issuance of a Building Permit. The fees collected are used to fund major capital improvements to the sewer, water, drainage, and road infrastructure and the acquisition of parkland/open spaces. Land Development Bylaw Update 2022
Since 2014 a number of community and master plans have been adopted that recommended updates to the current Land Development Bylaw which was last approved in 2014. An update to the Land Development Bylaw will reflect the most current technical standards and best practices for infrastructure design and construction, construction specifications and standard drawings.
