Mondays, Oct 16 – Dec 11 (except Nov 13), 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm. Discover fun with rhymes, songs, and stories! This is an interactive program for babies 15 months and younger AND caregivers. Mother Goose helps you learn ways to encourage your child's language and social/emotional development. Healthy snacks will be provided. Registration starts Sept 18. We are opening in Chilliwack for this live & online challenge - focusing on weight loss, fitness and personal development. The community gets involved during voting with Chilliwack Progress. This is a non-profit organization. Applications to join start Dec. 1st, and the Challenge starts January 21, 2018.

Country Icons Show. This talented and stellar trio of singer/musicians with a passion for traditional country music has combined forces to create a great show featuring three of country music’s Icons. “Alan Jackson”, Waylon Jennings” and “Merle Haggard”. Jake Allan, Rob Rowan and Jason Cooper are all veterans of the country music industry performing in countless venues throughout Canada and the US from Honky Tonks to many of the major festivals over the years. Coming across, countless country music fans expressing their inability to find and listen to live traditional country music, they decided together to produce a show to pay tribute to three of their favorites and bring it to “you”. Supported by a first class group of musicians, and great reviews like “awesome show”, “great band”, “sounded so much like the real thing”, “you guys knocked it out of the park” and numerous standing ovations, you are sure to walk away thoroughly entertained!

We are excited to announce our Second Christmas Craft Fair on Friday, December 1st at 4pm-8pm. Parking & admission is free but we will be collecting monetary donations at the door. Chilliwack Opportunity Society will be hosting their Annual Poinsettia and Bake Sale on December 1 from 10:00 - 1:00. Pick out a gorgeous poinsettia and some homemade baking. Proceeds go to benefit the Society, a community inclusion day service for adults with developmental disabilities.

The Farm Store and Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry would like to invite you to be our guest at the 3rd Annual Eats and Treats Christmas Market. Get in the holiday spirit with some delicious eats and treats specially prepared by our very own Celine. Along with great samples from our instore vendors and a few food trucks to satisfy your tastebuds, we will have a selection of local Artisans and Bakers to help check off your holiday shopping list. Other activities will include Christmas crafts for the kids, face painting, and a special visit from our very own duck mascot. Fraser Valley Philharmonic Society and Philomusica Chorus are pleased to present "Intergenerational Christmas." Philomusica Chorus is a vibrant community choir performing pieces ranging from serene and beautiful to lively and fun. Aged 15-29 and Seeking Employment? YMCA Youth Works employment program is starting in Chilliwack this Month! The YMCA Youth Works program helps youth gain the confidence, skills and experience to secure and maintain employment. This FREE job readiness program offers one-on-one support with experienced career advisors, job search and choices of training such as Super Host, Food Safe, Forklift, Serving it Right, First Aid, WHMIS, Driver’s training and others, as well as work placement supports. Other benefits of this program include food support and transportation assistance. The YMCA is actively recruiting for our next intake and hosting Information Sessions at the Chilliwack YMCA Youth Works location at #308-46167 Yale Rd. 3 pm – 4:30 pm. It’s time to decorate the Library Christmas Tree! We’re crafting ornaments from repurposed books and making enough to decorate our tree and yours. Make a few ‘bookish’ ornaments for the Library tree and a few to take home for a literary Christmas! This program is suitable for all ages with decorations of varying degrees of difficulty.

Chilliwack Prostate Cancer Support group meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month (ex Jan) 7:00pm at Mt Cheam Lions Club The meetings are informal and provide a forum for personal discussion with men who currently have or have already recovered from prostate cancer. We invite specialists whose fields relate to prostate cancer to give talks. Meetings are free and everyone is welcome.

2 pm - 3 pm. Join members of the Chilliwack Harmony Chorus as they celebrate the season-barbershop style! Everyone is invited for holiday refreshments and an enjoyable hour of Christmas music.

A fabulous Christmas Gifts Market, full of gift ideas, bargains and more from local home-based & small businesses, will be taking place on December 8th, 9th and 10th at the Chilliwack Heritage Park. Hours: Friday, December 8th from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 10th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Get all your shopping done in one room, and maybe win a little something for yourself in the process! (Anyone bringing non-perishable food items for the Food Bank will be entered into regular draws, across the weekend, for vendor door prizes.) 10:30 am – 11 am. Join our regular storytime crowd for some holly, jolly fun!

12 pm – 2 pm. Let’s Play and Learn Numbers is a fun, play-filled program with hands on number games and activities that can be carried out at home. With inexpensive materials and equipment, participants can PLAY, DISCOVER and LEARN with the love of numbers. This program is in partnership with School District 33 and Chilliwack Early Years program.

This holiday season, the whole family can enjoy Charles Dickens’ timeless Christmas classic, “A Christmas Carol”, brought to life by Secondary Characters Musical Theatre. Audience members will be treated to holiday cookies and warm beverages while listening to a dramatic reading of this holiday favourite with a cast of carollers singing toe-tapping songs from “A Muppets’ Christmas Carol” all in support of a treasured local non-profit organization.
