The City of Chilliwack (City) is requesting Expressions of Interest from qualified Respondents for the design, manufacture and delivery of new NFPA and ULC compliant Fire Truck Water Tankers. The quantity and specifications of the Fire Department Water Tankers will be budget and demand dependent.

This Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) outlines the opportunity for interested parties and is intended to identify qualified Respondents who have the resources and skills to successfully deliver the Equipment.

The purpose of this Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) is to select up to three (3) qualified Proponents who, at the RFP stage, will submit detailed technical and financial Proposals for the Equipment. This is intended to be a permissive document that stimulates comprehensive and innovative Expressions of Interest.

The City intends to establish an agreement with the successful proponent to supply Fire Department Water Tankers for one (1) year commencing in 2022, with the option to extend up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods. The decision to continue the agreement for any subsequent term(s) beyond the initial term will be based on the Vendor performance and cost, and will be at the City’s sole discretion.
