Notice is hereby given by the City of Chilliwack of its intent to award to Metro Ford for the supply and
delivery of three (3) 2023 Ford E-Transit High Roof Cargo Vans.

The City of Chilliwack did not call for competitive proposals for the following reasons:
a. Ford is the only current automaker to fabricate a fully electric cargo van (in comparable
size).
b. Ford Canada has indicated that they will be prioritizing purchases for government
agencies.
c. Metro Ford is the local dealership with access to the Ford E-Transit High Roof Cargo
Vans.
